Sony XAVC S that is H.264 codec can be very difficult to edit with even the latest Intel 13th gen or Ryzen 7000 consumer series processors.
The best option is to go with Intel 13900K with Nvidia RTX 4070 12GB. 13900K has 24 cores that can handle this heavy codec.
Ryzen Threadripper 5000 series can definitely handle this 4K H.264 10bit 4 2 2 footage.
